He could see the passion behind her rain and tear-stricken face as he mentioned the bounty of a certain pirate. How quick she was to correct him. But it was a passion that was not fully realized and one that could just as easily be molded.
When she came to him with a gun in hand he knew that he had nothing to fear. A pirate she may be but a murderer she was not. A kiss was a formidable weapon in a bullet and it left her breathless. She had tasted death and now she yearned to taste life.
And who was he to not be ensnared by something he couldn't have? It was a dangerous game that even the second time around he hadn't learned how to play. Jack Sparrow wanted to tame his own heathen goddess. And so he had created his leverage. He captures the dear flighty bride and he has Jack's soul in his palm once again.
It is only when he falls onto the silk sheets of his bed and wraps his arms around the only person he knows he can trust wholeheartedly the games he plays during the day are stripped away and he is left to be the fragmented piece of a man that he is.
