Title: Ink and Blood
Characters: Cutler Beckett, Gov, Chevalle
Pairing: Gov/Chevalle
Rating: PG-13
Prompt: Gentle hands sign executions
Word Count: 97
The words on the parchment matter little, these etched letters signify how many days will be cut of a person's life. Lord Beckett believes that gentle hands should sign executions, as if that how the order of the world is kept. When one particular paper is thrust upon him his pale turns a ghostly white, the rouge that he's been piling on to keep up appearances does little to veil the truth. The slow clockwork has finally caught up to the month of monotony and their implications.
He refuses to sign and thus he has signed his own execution.
